Charters SPEAK: Advocacy in Action
Tue, Dec 3, 2024, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM EST
MCPSA Office, 43 Broad Street, Suite C401, Hudson, MA, United States Map
Charters SPEAK is a community of practice for public affairs (communications and advocacy) professionals from MCPSA member schools, offering trainings, best practice sharing, and thought partnership around topics related to advancing political and public support for the charter public school sector in Massachusetts.
Together, we will:
- Better understand what lies ahead in the 2025-2026 legislative session, what our sectorwide priorities will be, and how we can influence outcomes through advocacy, community mobilization, and powerful storytelling.
- Learn about best practices for how schools can most effectively advocate, educate, and build deep relationships with legislators.
- Build advocacy engagement plans that empower and engage our school community members and support the development of deep relationships with elected officials.
- Strengthen relationships with communications and advocacy peers from member schools all across the state.
An optional breakfast and networking session will be held from 9:30 - 10. The program will formally begin at 10 and will conclude at 3:30.
Please reach out directly to Madeleine Sims (msims@masscharterschools.org) by November 20th to share any allergies or dietary needs.
The deadline to register is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20th.
